Last autumn the soul and dance worlds were thrilled to have some new music from the wonderful ANN NESBY. She was guest vocalist on a huge slab of optimism by the name of ‘Jam’. The cut was the work of music entrepreneur EmKayBe….. aka Merrick Buckingham who describes himself as “vocalist/dancer/choreographer/music producer hailing from Gary, Indiana”.

Out on DJ Spen’s Quantize label, the tune was a huge success and to take it a few extra miles for Miami Music Week ‘Jam’ has been remixed.

First up is a tweak from Will ‘Reelsoul’ Rodriquez who keeps the tempo well up while allowing Ms Ann’s vocal to shine. The same goes for the “All Nite” mix with Spen at the controls. Big surprise though is the Reelsoul ‘Throwback” mix. Here Mr Rodriquez slows the tempo right down and adds a Loose Ends ‘Hanging On A String’ vibe. This ticks all the old school soul weekender boxes and looks like being one of 2018’s first big floor fillers.
