Back in April the modern soul community lapped up a fab dancer from S.E.L. – the working name of young soulstress, Emma Louise (the “S” stand for “Soulful”, by the way). Tune in question was a driving, optimistic ‘Flowered Tears’ which benefited from mixes from DJ Spen and partner in crime Michele Chiavarini.

The tune did so well that the mixing duo has now come up with fresh tweaks – bound to give the tune more legs as the summer kicks in. Released on Spen’s own Quantize imprint, you can now enjoy ‘Flowered Tears’ in a DJ Spen & Michele Chiavarini soulful house mix, and two Latin/afrobeat-tinged treats from Peppe Citarella. As usual there are instrumental mixes out there too but then you miss Miss Emma’s lovely voice!

Not too much to chose between the different mixes and the original still sounds pretty damn good too!
