Just last month we highlighted new music from CALL SENDER – a UK/US duo – Suffolk (UK) based multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and engineer Paul Elliott and Bay-area (US) resident multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer and drummer Michael Reed. The duo got together during the pandemic via Skype and between them they crafted a whole album – ‘Lost To The Storm’ which is due at the end of October.
The album’s first single was ‘Mad Mark’ and ‘Nova’ and they now follow with two more tunes… ‘Midnight At Baker’ and the album title track. The former attempts to evoke the vibe of Baker Beach in San Francisco, which, were told, offers an inspiring view of the Golden Gate Bridge while the latter has a broody, cinema noir feel. Neither are true soul, jazz or funk – but they offer intrigue and interest. Out now!
