MILES DAVIS’ first Warner Brothers album ‘Rubberband’ was controversial from the very start – eventually shelved by label execs in favour of ‘Tutu’. Now with the full co-operation of all the various copyright holders, producers Randy Hall and Zane Giles, as well as Vince Wilburn, Jr., (Davis’ nephew and drummer on the session) have revisited the album, adding what they call some “additional musical elements.” The main additions are vocals from artists like Lalah Hathaway who fronts the project’s first single ‘So Emotional’.
