Manchester soul heroine MICA MILLAR’S good year continues to get bigger and better. Her acclaimed album, ‘Heaven Knows’ continues to win acclaim. Just recently, it was selected as ‘Album of the Month’ by Caffé Nero, playing in over 600 stores across Europe. Factor in Mica being named Jazz FM’s ‘Soul Act of the Year’ and for sure, she’s on an onwards and upwards trajectory that’s set to speed up via the release of a new single…. ‘Trouble’. Taken from her album, the track is fierce and feisty and typifies everything that Ms M has come to be known for.
As exciting is the news of an upcoming national headline tour, opening at London’s prestigious Jazz Cafe, and including headline slots for Manchester Jazz Festival and Leeds Jazz Festival. Mica will also be performing at a series of top notch festivals, including the Cheltenham Jazz Festival where she’ll be performing on the festival’s main stage on Thursday 27th April backed by a 100-piece orchestra and televised on BBC 4.
