Super soul diva JOCELYN BROWN has just released a four track EP to celebrate the coming Christmas season… and to help her deliver her cool Yule greetings she’s enlisted the help of some very special friends. The ever-lovely MELBA MOORE duets with JOCELYN on the set’s lead track – a subtle, soulful dance version of ‘The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas Everybody)’ and you know the old chestnut (roasted or otherwise) has never sounded better.
CARLEEN ANDERSON duets with Ms BROWN on a lovely ‘Starry Nights’ and if you want to inject some proper soul into your Christmas this is the track to do it. The third cut on offer is the traditional hymn, ‘Agnus Dei’ – here the guest is RUSSELL WATSON. A surprise maybe, but the self-styled “Peoples’ Tenor” is a big soul fan and a great friend of JOCELYN BROWN and the pair do a great job on the soulful arrangement.
The fourth song on the EP is a crazy version of ‘Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer’ and on what is a crazy romp all hands are on deck. The usual download portals will allow you to access these special Christmas treats.
