ANEESSA is a French singer who now works out of Los Angeles. Her husband is renowned ex Motown staff producer Michael B Sutton who, conveniently, produces her records! Their latest effort is a gentle, beguiling ‘Merci’ (which even I know means “thanks”).
The message in the music is the importance of gratitude, resilience and self-empowerment and it’s delivered sweetly in French with a sensual spoken passage. A Francoise Hardy for the 21st century? Peut-etre!
