Soul fans who’ve visited the city of Memphis will no doubt have paid their respects at the The Stax Museum of American Soul Music – now in its 16th year. The city of Memphis is a little older – in fact celebrating its 200th anniversary this year and the Stax museum is helping in the commemorations dubbed the BiSOULtennial.
Here’s how it works – The Stax Museum staff has compiled a Spotify playlist of 200 Memphis soul songs and anyone who accesses the playlist will be asked to vote for their absolute Top 10. The voting actually opens on May 15th, though we believe that the playlist is live now. If you want to have your say – visit Spotify. The voting runs through till June 30th.
