Latest release from the REGI MYRIX, MYRIX MEDIA GROUP sees our Reg once again teaming up with soulstress par excellence MICHELLE BROOKS-THOMPSON. Regular readers will know that Michelle is a proper vocal  powerhouse. Steeped in gospel traditions, her  performances have earned her the nickname “the Whitney Houston of Gospel” and over the last few years, she’s established herself quite a reputation, beginning with winning  the 2017 Apollo Amateur Night. The $20k prize was as useful as the publicity. Michelle then went onto reach the finals of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ where judge Adam Levine (Maroon 5) opined that she “possessed a supernatural singing ability.”

Sample thatsupernatural singing ability” on this  new track – ‘Then I Met You’. The song  (which deals with finding that special someone who supports his woman in every viable way and willing to take a stand when necessary) is ostensibly smooth soul, but there’s’ nothing smooth or bland about the emotional vocals which (to labour the above point) recall the sadly missed Whitney. This ‘Then I Met You’ is properly soulful and it’ll be good to go April 29th.
