Our soul spy network is reporting that the delightful MAYSA has a new LP on the way. No real details or dates at the moment save that it will be released on the lady’s own Blue Velvet Soul Records and that featured guests include Chris Davis, Kim Waters and the redoubtable Phil Perry.
And that mighty trio all collaborate with Maysa on the set’s lead single…. a sweet and stately smooth soul groove, ‘It’s Gonna Be Alright’… proper grown up music. Little wonder this week it’s become #1 Most Added Single on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Charts. Hugely recommended!
