It’s been something like seven years since that most elusive of soul men, MAXWELL released his last long player –the edgy and always tricky ‘Blacksummersnight’. We were told back then that the album was the first part of trilogy and the next two instalments would be on their way “soon”.
Well, seven years down the line part two may, at last, be imminent. US sources are hinting that Maxwell is about to release the first single from a new album. It seems the single is called ‘Lake By The Ocean’ … a title as enigmatic as the man himself. The enigma is heightened by Maxwell’s Twitter account which appears to quote from the song. “…all I see is love, everything is love, lake by the ocean sweet like the motion...” Mmm … We wait patiently.
