Latest offering from UK jazz and soul guitarist DAVE MASCALL – a sweet collaboration with vocalist HANNAH WHITE – ‘Gotta Trust In Love’ – has won plenty of support. In fact, it’s proving to be one of Dave’s most successful cuts to date.
It’s totally up and optimistic and proving things can always get better, it’s resurfaced in three new, very distinct but catchy and infectious mixes.
First up there’s a “modern soul” mix – a little slower than the original, it’s almost a soul ballad. Then there’s the Franklin D mix – a little more spacey but with an extended guitar solo. The third tweak comes courtesy of the Groove Association’s Georgie B and my money’s on this one as the one that will keep the modern soul crowd happy. Georgie’s been around for a while (to say the least) and he knows what’s needed to craft an irresistible soul groove – which this is! There’s a touch of the Drizabones about this one!
