It’s official. One of this year’s biggest modern soul anthems is ‘Let Me Be The One’ from MARC STAGGERS. A collaboration between Marc and master mixer Nigel Lowis, the Philly favoured, sophisticated dancer hit the top spot on all credible soul charts within just two weeks of release.
Now the infectious tune is available in a brand new mix, courtesy of “Mont Plonc”. This new tweak begins dramatically before the sweetest beats kick in. It’s not quite soulful house, but the Mont Plonc team cook up quite a different vibe, though there’s still great Philly style strings and a guitar solo straight out of the Bobby Eli text book… oh, and of course, they keep Marc’s soulful, Vandross-inflected vocal right up there in the mix.
