Latest offering from specialist soul label IZIPHO RECORDS pairs two new tracks from 70s funk band RIPPLE. The band has just made a comeback of sorts with two original members – Curtis “Kazoo” Reynolds & Keith “Doc” Samuels and they now go out as RIPPLE 2.20.
The Izipho single features two lovely but contrasting sides. The putative A side is a cover of the lovely John Edwards ballad, ‘Exercise My Love’ featuring a searing soul vocal from Samuels. The B side is a new remix of Ripple’s signature song…. ‘I Don’t Know What It Is, But It Sure Is Funky.’
The 7” single is being pressed in a limited edition of 300 and will be available from 26th June.
