Last month the soul media enthused about a new album, ‘My Love Journey’ from Lexington, Kentucky singer/songwriter JESSE LAINE POWELL. (above) One of the set’s focus cuts was Ms P’s cover of Luther Vandross’ Make Me a Believer’. This new version was/is gentle and hypnotic and many remarked that it was reminiscent in some ways of Anita Baker.
The good news is that the track has just been released as a standalone single and it comes recommended for lovers of smooth jazz/sophisticated soul!
