Paris-based jazz chanteuse Melody Gardot not only releases her keenly anticipated new album, ‘Sunset In The Blue,’ today but also has a new video to accompany the album’s latest single ‘C’est Magnifique.’
The single is a sultry, bossa nova-style duet with the Portuguese superstar, António Zambujo. It was co-written by the singer and produced by her long time associate, Larry Klein, who brought in noted US arranger Vincent Mendoza to frame Melody’s voice with a lush cushion of strings.
The video was created by Blanche Films and directed by Pedro Varela. It was filmed in black and white and depicts Gardot – with a hint of Grace Kelly in her attire – driving a vintage Mercedes on a coastal drive to a romantic tryst.
