MOONCHILD are an LA-based trio (Amber Navran, Mix Bryk and Andris Mattson) and their last long player, ‘Please Rewind’ won them lots of friends on the chill out/ambient/nu-age jazz n’soul circuit, amongst them Gilles Peterson.

The band are all set to release their new album – the 13 track, ‘Voyager’. The collection is named for the brief introductory track – a short synth piece that winds its way through bird song and a waterfall (all recorded in the Yosemite National Park). That kind of gives you the aural picture, I guess. .. spacey, cosmic, ethereal and atmospheric – a mood heightened by Amber Navran’s laid-back, other worldly vocals.
