We first featured Swiss musician LUMAN CHILD (real name Pascal Straus) in 2017. Back then he was working with the Sed Soul team but his album on that label, ‘Time 2 Grow’ was a far cry from Rob and Frank’s usual retro soul sounds. Rather it offered a nu/neo soul, jazzy vibe with a hint of electronica. A switch to the Tru Thoughts label brought an EP, ‘Love IsThe Message’ which won favour in some quarters, particularly the track ‘Grateful’ which featured a lovely, convincing, soulful vocal from Philly’s Robert Gee.
If you want to be more ‘Grateful’ then the song’s just been given a makeover by the reliable North Stret West mix team (essentially Ashley Beedle, Jo Wallace and Darren Morris). They now offer a rousing Gospel-house tweak along with the instrumental. The release package also includes the two original EP versions and all good to go now!
