MONICA MANCINI is the double-Grammy nominated daughter of the legendary HENRY MANCINI and this summer she releases what promises to be her most intriguing collection to date. ‘I’ve Loved These Days’ (produced by PHIL RAMONE) is a set of classic 60s songs featuring unique collaborations with some of the songs’ composers – notably JACKSON BROWNE, BRIAN WILSON, STEVIE WONDER and FELIX CAVALIERE. MS MANCINI says “I’m beyond thrilled to have made this album and work with these artists and producer. For me, it’s always about the songwriters and their songs.” The collaborations with the original artists came together altogether organically. MANCINI and STEVIE WONDER are friends and had collaborated previously so, given the decision to cover “Blame It On The Sun”, it seemed natural to ask WONDER to guest on the track. Also appearing on the album are JACKSON BROWNE, who offers guitar and vocal accompaniment on his track ‘These Days’, the YOUNG RASCALS’ FELIX CAVALIERE who provides B-3 organ accompaniment on his classic ‘How Can I Be Sure’ and both BRIAN WILSON and the multi-Grammy winning vocal group TAKE 6 who contribute vocals on ‘God Only Knows’. ‘I’ve Loved These Days’ is released on Concord in July and MONICA will be performing at Pizza Express Jazz Club on July 10th and 11th
