Latest offering from soul entrepreneur Herb Middleton’s production company is a lovely, uptempo modern soul outing ‘Love Like This’ from female quartet, N’FRONT. The group consist of four seasoned session singers – Sherena Wynn, Shawn McMillan, Stacey Richardson and Tia Stewart. Their most prestigious gig was working regularly with Gerald Levert and we’re told that they penned the song to commemorate what would have been Gerald’s 54th birthday back in July.
Since US release the song’s been all over internet soul radio – easy to hear why. It’s a proper, catchy contemporary soul cut – very American sounding and the vocals and harmony betray the ladies’ experience and knowledge of the business.
Apparently the version that’s been played out so far have been pirated from YOUTUBE videos! Herb Middleton and his UK team are keen to make sure that the real track gets the airing it deserves and they tell us that the official recording will be good to go very soon – definitely worth investigating when it finally arrives!
