(Stuart) MATHER really needs no introduction here. As a solo artist and with Chris Kingdon he regularly delivers his own unique sound – never frantic but soothing, often gentle and laid back and always tuneful. It’s his own take on Brit, blue-eyed soul.
Mather’s summer single, ‘Love Has Arrived’ typified that sound and if that uncomplicated but insidious sort of music is your thing, then you’ll be glad to know that the ‘Love Has Arrived’ parent album has just been released but for brevity the LP’s ‘L.H.A.’
The album includes some of our man’s previous singles, including, of course, ‘Love Has Arrived’ and a new, beaty remix of his ‘This Is Serious’ with input from Hannah White and Alan Hook. Interestingly the album also features a cover of the Moments’ ‘Nine Times’ which sort of shows where Mr M’s coming from.
