GEORGE ANDERSON is the bassist in Shakatak but he also pursues his own solo career – his last album being the well-received ‘Songs From Tomorrow’. That February collection had a few prescient things to say about the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, but the LP’s big soul groove was ‘Love Makes U Feel The Pain’.
Now, as is the way, that tune has won remix status. A little longer than the original mix, this new tweak is rock steady and tight (Anderson’s a bassist, remember) and the mixers wisely keep sometime Tom Browne collaborator Joyce San Mateo’s soulful vocal right up front!
