While we wait patiently for the new album from everyone’s fave soul cellist, IZZI DUNN, the lovely lady has just released a new single…. a light, lithe, summer vibe by the name ‘Look Up To The Sky’. It’s basically a simple tune but there’s a real ear worm quality about it and it’ll remind you of something but you won’t know what. Right now I’m hearing flavours of Rotary Connection but on the remixes (the Wookie and Twilite Tone tweaks) I’m getting a woozy Amy Winehouse mixed with a sultry Swing Out Sister…. most intriguing but very lovely and deserving to be a big, big summer tune.
The upcoming long player, by the way, is called ‘Recycle Love’ and we’re promised it very soon!
