Chances are that you don’t know the name SYLVER LOGAN SHARP but you’ll know the voice. You see for almost 20 years, Ms Sharp was one of the lead singers with CHIC. Right now she’s concentrating on her own solo career via a new EP recorded in Sweden with producer/pianist and music director, Daryl L.A. Hunt. The mini album’s simply called ‘The Groovement’ and the focus track is a sophisticated yet impassioned version of Christopher Cross’ ‘Sailing’. Little wonder that it’s getting plenty of plays on soul radio…. Record of the Week, next week, we’re told, on Solar! A multi-tasker, the lady is constantly in demand as a session singer; she has her own “Sylverwear” jewellery business; and she has her own internet show – “feelbetterFriday”.
