London’s famed RONNIE SCOTT’S JAZZ CLUB will be welcoming a varied and acclaimed group of performers to their Soho venue over the next month or so. Artists lined up ito perform include US supergroup the YELLOWJACKETS, Jamaican pianist MONTY ALEXANDER, keyboard maven BRIAN JACKSON and guitarist BILL FRISELL. Soul fans will be interested especially in the appearance of MYLES SANKO. While the regular Sunday shows will feature mainstays SOUL FAMILY and RUBY TURNER.
For information, the main shows at Ronnie’s are spread across two sittings, with early show doors at 5:30pm for a 6:30pm start and second house doors opening at 8:30pm for a 9:15pm start. On single houses that we have on Mondays and Tuesdays (check website) doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start. On Sundays the doors open at 12pm and 6.30pm for one sitting.
The of course, there’s Upstairs @ Ronnie’s which offers guests the opportunity to experience some of the best up and coming vocalists and instrumentalists on the London scene, from Monday to Saturday varying from jazz and samba sets to guitar duos and Club DJ Mike Vitti and friends spinning soul, funk and rare groove vinyl on Saturday nights.
