SURE FIRE SOUL ENSEMBLE are funky collective marshalled by keyboardist Tim Felton. They’ve been in business since 2012 and have a quartet of albums under their belt and they have an upcoming live set, ‘Live at Panama 66’ due very soon.
Earlier this month their label, All Town Sound released the LP’s first single – a faithful cover of the Soulful Strings’ Burning Spear’ which they now follow with a tune called ‘Campus Life’ . Hammond-led, it’s an old school sound that melds soul-jazz with tight funk and it features some blistering horn solos. Out now!
