Last September, sometime lead voice in Club Nouveau, JAY KING impressed all and soulfully sundry with his album – ‘Soulful Bossa Nova’. It’s still sounding good – one of THE sensual album of 2021, for sure!
One of the LP’s key cuts was ‘Baby Let’s Dance Tonight’ – a stately, Marvin Gaye-tinged, harmonic foot tapper that chimed beautifully with the album’s title – it was indeed a “soulful bossa nova”!
Now in that totally modern way, the tune’s back with us in a remix – courtesy of SOULPERSONNA. Here the tempo is raised – not too dramatically but just shifting away from the Latin flavours into modern soul territory. The mix also manages, wonderfully, to retain all the song’s latent sensuality.
