Ms. MONÉT is the musical alter ego of Californian singer/entertainer Conesha Monét Owens and for one relatively young, she has a quite a CV.
Her experience includes working with people like Walter Afanasieff, Marcus Miller, Boz Scaggs, Michael McDonald, Huey Lewis and the News, Queen Latifah, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Kenny Loggins. She was also a featured vocalist for the US “Dancing With The Stars” 2006 winter tour and has recorded duets with Johnny Mathis and sang BVs for Solomon Burke, Don Felder (Eagles), Faith Hill, Tom McGraw, Soul II Soul and Lenny Kravitz. She also finds time to act and dance professionally and she also sang at pre-inaugural family parties for Presidents Obama and Biden! More? Well, she’s toured the world and even wowed audiences on the US version of ‘The Voice’. We could go on – but we’re sure you get the picture. Ms. Monét is a busy old bee – and respected throughout the US entertainment biz.
So, time now to strike out on her own. She’s currently busy promoting her own single… ‘Celebrate’ The title says it all. This one’s a classic dance tune – bags of beats and full-on optimism – delivered with a conviction and passion that comes from all the experience we listed above, oh – and a wonderful 5 octave vocal range.
