CJ’s CONNECTION (masterminded by Cliff James) enjoyed plenty of success with their last single, a cover of Freeez’s 1983 cut ‘I.O.U.’ but for their latest release the Connection offer a brand new song… a steady, stately groove, ‘Just Friends’.
This one has a lot more soul conviction than ‘I.O.U.’ and should easily emulate that one’s success and is that a tiny sample of the Isley’s ‘Summer Breeze’ in the insistent riff?
