MONET (Dunham) is a NYC-based music multi-tasker… singer/songwriter/ flautist! She also writes, acts and directs her own movies.
Right now Ms M is promoting a new music single… ‘Spirit’ on which she proves her mastery of the flute. All other instruments are played by the late Gil Smalls while Robin Smalls and Monet add subtle BVs.
The track is actually a re-recording of a tune that featured on Monet’s 2003 debut album and she felt inspired to re make it given the renewed interest in the flute after the success of Andre 3000’s ‘New Blue Sun’ album on which the instrument was heavily featured.
