We first came across the soulful BELLA BROWN AND THE JEALOUS LOVERS last year via their LRK single ‘Get Mine’/’I’m Gone’. At the time we discovered that Bella (real name Carol Hatchett, a Grammy award winner no less! ) and her band hail from Los Angeles and that she’s released a couple of EPs that were a mix of covers and band originals and two of those originals made up the LRK single.
Fuelled by the success of the 7”, LRK are gearing up for the release of a new Bella Brown single…. ‘What Will You Leave Behind’. The tune is another feisty, take-no-prisoners work out with plenty of catchy hooks – all delivered with proper soul conviction. The message in the music is essentially a call to action in these times of failed humanity and injustice to think about what your legacy will be. Noble sentiments for sure and delivered with honesty and conviction… and watch out for the funky tempo break towards the end .
