Last November we highlighted an album from Atlanta entertainer TONY HIGHTOWER. The name rang a bell right away. Tony, you see, is the son of noted jazz vocalist Theresa Hightower and was brought up in a house filled with soul and jazz. Little wonder that he calls his brand of music “soulful jazz” and there was plenty of soul and jazz in the grooves of that album, ‘Legacy’. Highlights were the jazz samba ‘’Rendezvous’ and a cover of Al Green’s ‘Love And ‘Happiness’.
For reasons not explained to us, Tony’s ‘Legacy’ is being re-promoted … maybe it wasn’t actually released last November despite press getting review copies?
