Germany’s ROB HARDT and FRANK RYLE – known to modern soulsters worldwide as COOL MILLION – have been ultra busy in the studio in the first two months of 2012. Their big, beginning of year, project sees the meister mixers and producers collaborate with dear old KENNY THOMAS. The trio have worked wizardly magic on one of KT’s own songs – ‘Without Your Love’. Between them they have concocted a truly classic modern soul dancer with deep roots in the ’80s.
The tune – available on Sed Soul from April 9th – comes in three delightful mixes. The original has a real crunchy ’80s undertow; the 12″ mix offers homage to stuff like ‘Can You Handle It?’; while Rob’s Oldskool Slide – though a touch faster – will reignite more ’80s soul fires. More good news? Well, there’s a whole album to come later in April.
