KINGDOM COMES – AGAIN!

We were first introduced to soul newcomer FRED KINGDOM (above) this summer via his debut single, ‘Medicine’. This  melodic, easy, soul roller was a lovely mix of influences – classic soul, neo soul, contemporary soul, all topped by a convincing, mature soul vocal. So we were a little surprised to learn that Fred is just 19.

Learning more, we discovered that Mr K is a Londoner  and a  graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where he studied Jazz Piano. He works live with a five piece band and they’re making quite  a name for themselves in and around the clubs of West London and his profile grew with his second single, ‘Get Lost In Rhythm’. This was (indeed is ) a proper encouragement to get out on the floor and off that wall – a definite touch of the Michael Jackson about it!

The good news is that ‘Get Lost In Rhythm’ is back amidst us in a plethora of new, irresistible mixes from a certain MICHAEL GRAY. Another Londoner, Mr G really needs no introduction here. He’s one half of Full Intention and boasts  an impressive CV and track record. You’ll know and love his 2004 ‘Weekend’ track  while his own Spring ’24 album  ‘Optimism’ was a cracker from start to finish.

Mixer Mike has worked real magic on ‘Get Lost In Rhythm’ delivering threes mixes – a soul tweak, a soulful house iteration and a dubby effort and there are short and extended versions of the soul and house mixes. As ever you pays your  money…

Dip in anywhere though and hear a mix meister and a rising soul star create something special – get lost in that rhythm. Sadly, though you’ll need to wait till November 4th!
