KING FOR A DAY…

JAY KING was the front man of Club Nouveau. Their biggest hit was a great version of Bill Withers’ ‘Lean On Me’ but right now the Royal One is mad busy promoting his second solo album, ‘Helen’s Son’.

A week or two back we highlighted the lead single… the lovely, sweet 70s style groove, ‘Good Kinda Lovin”. Soul commentators commented on the hypotonic Marvin Gaye/ Barry White feel and the good news is that the album, which has just ht the sales racks, offers plenty more of the same vibe!

Album highlights include a properly sensual smooth soul/jazz groove, ‘Take my Breath Away’ (NO! not that Police thing!) and ‘All About Your Love’ which could be a big Valentine’s anthem

The long player is now officially available and all the usual internet portals will bring you to it!
