New York–based singer songwriter, KENDRA MORRIS, is currently making waves with maybe one of the strangest covers ever. For her latest release the young singer has decided to recreate The Proclaimers’ best known song ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’. This is the follow up to her hugely successful album ‘Banshee’ which was out on French, independent record label, Naive Records in February 2014.
Like all the best cover versions Kendra’s look at the Scottish brothers’ song is totally different to their original. Indeed, it’s strikingly different – dark and broody, sombre and melancholy… you’d be hard pressed to recognize it.
