With three long players under her belt, the lovely LINDSEY WEBSTER has made quite a name for herself. Her last album (‘Back To Your Heart’) was particularly strong – winning maximum airplay right across the better soul and jazz stations and garnering 5 star review from the savvy soul media (SJF included!).
The good news is that Ms W is right now preparing for their release of a brand new collection, ‘Love Inside’, and if the leaked, lead single – the set’s title track – is anything go by, the album is set to equal her previous outstanding work. ‘Love Inside’ is a lazy retro soul/jazz groove with some lovely Benson-esque guitar running through. Vocally, Lindsey is impeccable – shades of Anita Baker, Sade and Dusty – but ultimately her own woman.
The single ‘Love Inside’ is out now and the album of the same name will be available from March from Shanachie.
