Been a while since we heard from SOULUTIONS but just in time for the Christas jollies they’re back with a bang… and a surprise! Their new single is a pacey, bright, percussive, swirling ‘Distance’ on which the band and singer LOUISE MEHAN are joined by Detroit soulstress KATHY KOSINS!
We’ve been told that the song was written by main man Steve Lee and the track’s been 12 months in the making! The wait, however, has been well worth it!
‘Distance’ clocks in at over five minutes and delivers all the usual SouLutions Philly-inspired trademark sounds with the added bonus of Ms K’s vocals which blend beautifully with Louise’s – check the line “feels like we’ve known each other for ever”. It sound like they have!
‘Distance’ is released Friday December 1st via House of Sounds Records and is available exclusively from the SouLutions web site (see above).
