Been a while since we had new music from the usually prolific Philly revival label, Society Hill but they get back in step with a new single from New Jersey soul singer TESA WILLIAMS who offers her heartfelt version of Rose Royce’s ‘Wishing On A Star’.
Ms Williams clearly isn’t daunted in tackling such a well-known song. Indeed we last heard from her on a Marc Nelson duet cover of the Sam Dees/Whitney Houston song ‘Just The Lonely Talking’. She made a decent job of that one and on ‘Star’ she once again shows her soul credentials. With no nerves, she tears into the song and delivers it big style! Out now via Society Hill.
