It was August 2019 (I think) when we first enjoyed a wonderful collaborative tune from music biz entrepreneur REGI MYRIX and soul man NOEL GOURDIN. It was the infectious ‘Step Into Love’, which, as the title suggests, was a steppers tune – but a rather superior one. It was one of the focus tracks on the pair’s EP, ‘BLAK BUTTAH VOL. 1’.
Regi and Noel are working on a second volume of ‘Blak Buttha’ from which a brand-new remix of ‘Step Into Love’ has just been released. The new tweak comes via ever-dependable Nigel Lowis and what was originally a great steppers tune has now got even better. Seeing that Lowis is at the controls, you can be sure that this new ‘Step Into Love’ has a distinct classic Philly flavour – little wonder some soul tastemakers are calling it the “remix of the year”. It’ll be good to go from May 22nd and the parent collection, ‘Blak Buttah VOL 2’ will follow soon after. We believe that the collection includes input from people like Hil St Soul, Nia Simmons and Lamar Kelsey. In the meantime, don’t miss Noel, Regi and Nigel’s ‘Step Into Love’.
