UK soul stylist CHRIS BALLIN came back amongst us in May with a lovely single, ‘Beautiful’. It rightly won plenty of plaudits for its sweet mid-tempo groove and Chris’s (as always) on-point soulful delivery – a sort of beguiling cross between the smooth sound of Luther Vandross and the grit of Anthony Hamilton.
Chris now follows his ‘Beautiful’ with another winner – ‘Shining’. This one’s a little more upbeat than ‘Beautiful’ and it’s a perfect vehicle for Mr B ‘s delivery. Mind you it should be – he wrote it. ‘Shining’ is out now – a bright, “up”, optimistic, “shining”, summer vibe that comes recommended!
