Latest offering from sometime Cool Million’s ROB HARDT is a catchy, potential floor filler with a touch of 80’s soul about it. The cut’s called ‘Trying’ and the 80’s flavour comes via what sounds an awful lot like vocoder effects. Whiz kid Rob might tell us different but that’s the sound he floats over his usual tight, modern soul beats while he’s drafted in singer David A Tobin to deliver a proper soul vocal that offers passion and commitment in equal measure…. great stuff!
