Latest release from Ramrock Record is a catchy ‘Who You Gonna Run To’ credited to GHETTO PRIEST X D.FOE. Ghetto Priest has been a mainstay of the UK reggae scene for many years while D.Foe are a secretive UK music duo with an eclectic and intriguing back catalogue. Between them the team create an unusual and boundary pushing sound (you’ve probably guessed that already).
The original ‘Who You Gonna Run To’ showcases Ghetto Priest’s wordsmithery over an imaginative backdrop… touches of trip hop and jazz sensibilities over heavy beats.
Being a Ramrock release, the cut also comes in a tighter North Street West mix. This one is aimed at the funky dance floor – think pioneering 70s bands like Cymande. The release also features a dub mix and the obligatory instrumental.
