Back in January the JAMES DAY marshalled JD’s TIME MACHINE released an epic three and half minutes’ worth of optimism… ‘Kiss Of Freedom’. Helping producer/entrepreneur Mr D to deliver his thoughts were a bevy of big names…. notably Cleveland P Jones, Agape Soul, & U-Nam and they all worked perfectly together. Little wonder the track scaled all the credible soul charts.
Now, as is the modern way, ‘Kiss Of Freedom’ is back with us in a new “Urban” mix. As “urban” suggests this new tweak is tougher and tighter and a tad more “up”. It’s anthemic in its own way but as James opines it’s still “an inspiring love baptism, the perfect vehicle to free us to enter the hopeful new journeys we dream will begin in 2021”. And look around, there is a little more optimism out there and this tune is the perfect accompaniment to that feeling. Out now.
