Hands up if you remember West End Records 1982 Disco classic, ‘Do It To The Music’ by Raw Silk! Of course you do! Well, proving again that you just can’t keep a good tune down – it’s back with us in a brand new, stonking mix from UK producer MICHAEL GRAY
Our Mike is one half of ‘Full Intention’ and his huge 2004 hit ‘The Weekend’ is still loved and played today. He relaunched his solo career as “Michael Gray” in 2018 to pursue his original love of Disco and the good old stats show that he became the world #1 Artist on Traxsource for 2020. His much in demand productions and remixes have appeared on all the very best labels.
So what about his tweaking on the Raw Silk cut? Well, he’s a disco freak, so he doesn’t tamper too much. What he does do is tighten things up and he adds plenty of 21st century glitter ball glam to proceedings! We could say the cut shimmers and sparkles but that would be a cheap shot!
The original remix clocks in at an energy-sapping seven minutes plus. For the arthritic there’s an edit and if you like ‘em, there’s the dubs (extended and edit!)
