MARSHELLA GRIFFIN is a US soul singer who works as MARSHELLA MUZIC and she’s putting the final touches to her debut album, ‘Moodz’. From it, the first single, ‘U & EYE’ is already winning plenty of support and easy to hear why. The tune is a gentle, easy on the ear affair with a sweet and soulful vocal that betrays Marshella’s gospel background – at Indiana University she was a key member of the African American Chorale Ensemble, under the Direction of Dr. James Mumford.
Now based in Los Angeles, the singer/songwriter’s ability to get an album released is remarkable given that in in 2017, she was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Marshella underwent a year of Chemotherapy and radiation, as well as surgery. But she says that having God, Music and the Arts in her life changed the way she handled her cancer journey.
