Last moth we posted on the album ‘As We Return’ (above) from French soul and funk band A-P CONNECTION – essentially Antoine Perez and Pierre Bonnet (hence the name!) . The LP was a collaboration with an artist with similar tastes – REVOLUCIEN and between them they crafted a set that was intriguing – flavours of people like Parliament-Funkadelic, Prince, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
From out soul point of view the standout tracks was ‘I’m What You Want’. This one begins in acapella fashion before settling into a lovely Weekender groove, while the horn break is a real delight. The soulful vocal’s down to Heather Haywood from the Cool Notes.
Now guess what? That lovely, imaginative track has been remastered and issued on vinylas a single. Check it out – it comes with a big thumbs up from us!
