Always good to have new music from rightly-lauded US soul man CORNELL CC CARTER, especially when it’s as tasty as what he’s all set to deliver – a smooth and sophisticated modern soul dancer, ‘Sometimes’.
For this ‘Sometimes’ our man’s teamed up with BRIAN POWER who knows a thing or two about danceable soul music! We could resort to cliché to say that it’s a match made in soul heaven but you know we don’t do cheap shots!
So let’s just say that this a sparkling, summer groove – smooth and sophisticated! We defy you not to head nod, foot tap, shake a leg or rug cut to this one! It reminds me just a little of Drizabone’s ‘Real Love’ (yes, just a little) but CC’s vocals are a touch more soulfully convincing.
