DJ SOULCHILD is the musical alter ego of Swiss spinner, remixer and man about Alpine soul and dance, Denny Sutton. He’s big (mountainous even!) in Switzerland where he’s known as “the Swiss R&B King”. If you want to acquaint yourself with his skills, may we point you his latest single – a rework of MUSIQ SOULCHILD’S ‘Just Frends (Sunny)’.
The song originally appeared on Musiq’s debut album (2000) and was subsequently a single – easy to hear why. It’s ultra catchy and as the title implies there’s just a little flavour of Bobby Hebb’s ‘Sunny’ about it.
Out man in Switzerland says “I’ve always wanted to do a “Soulchild Vs. Soulchild” remix and here we finally have it” – logical for sure! This new mix ups the tempo a tad and adds extra heft via the bass lines making it very, very club friendly! Out now, recommended and available via Bandcamp.
