Aussie-born but UK-based singer/songwriter JOEL SARAKULA regularly delivers a pleasant take on blue-eyed soul – a touch of the easy on the ear end of the Hall and Oates sound, if you would.
That’s the flavour of his latest single, ‘Loved Up’ – a song that “captures the euphoria and ecstasy of being in love and compares it with addiction in its many forms.” There you go!
At the risk of repetition, it is easy on the ear – sweet, catchy and harmonic, though I have to say the intro does remind me just a little of Tania Marie’s ‘Come With Me’ . Odd but interesting!
